SECTION 08100 <br /> STEEL DOORS AND FRAMES <br /> PART 1: GENERAL <br /> 1.01 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Bidding Requirements, Conditions of the Contract and pertinent portions of Sections in Division One of these <br /> Specifications apply to the Work of this Section. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> A. Section includes: <br /> 1. All hollow metal doors,door frames and borrowed light frames. <br /> B. Related work specified in other sections: <br /> 1. Grouting of frames,anchors-Section 04200. <br /> 2. Finish hardware Section 08700. <br /> 3. Glazing:Section 08800. <br /> 4. Painting-Section 09900. <br /> 1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Provide doors and frames complying with the SDI Standard 100-"Recommended Specifications Standard Steel <br /> Doors and Frames"and as herein specified. <br /> B. Obtain hardware templates from hardware supplier (Section 08700) and obtain necessary hardware for factory <br /> application. <br /> C. Where noted on Door Schedule,provide nationally recognized testing agency label of proper classification. Label <br /> requirements take precedence over conflicting details.Advise the Architect of any conflict before fabricating work <br /> on that item is started. <br /> 1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Submit complete working drawings showing all features of construction and anchorage, locations and details of <br /> field splices. Coordinate with any special conditions of anchorage. Submit door schedule on shop drawings <br /> indicating relationship of door,number of room, number and function of door, such as Corridor A-13 to Lavatory <br /> A-14. <br /> B. Submit documentation for UL 10C or other approved testing agency stating doors have passed UBC Standard 7-2. <br /> C. Submit in accordance with Section 01300. <br /> 1.05 PRODUCT PROTECTION <br /> A. Deliver doors and frames in suitable crating or packaging to prevent damage in transit and storage. <br /> 08100-1 No.99132-CP2 <br />
