This design is based on verbal information <br /> provided by you and from a site visit I performed on May 1, 2007. No formal soil report was provided. <br /> I understand the proposed Versa-Lok Retaining Wall Systems walls will be located along the driveway of <br /> the existing house. The wall will abut the house near the corner of the garage and will be approximately <br /> 70' long. After starting as a single 12' high wall at the house,the wall system will split into three tiered <br /> walls each 4' high. A minimum distance of 4' should be maintained between each wall. Minimum <br /> embedment depths as shown on the attached wall sections should be maintained for the walls. Level <br /> slopes will be present at the top and bottom of the wall. A 200-psf traffic surcharge load has been <br /> designed at the top of the wall. No other surcharge or groundwater loads have been designed for the wall. <br /> The attached typical sections should be referenced for the appropriate wail section height. Special mote <br /> should be made of the wall embedment depth and the geosynthetic fabric (geo-grid) length as measured <br /> from the front face of the wall.
