SITE EVALUATION REPORT
FOR THE NORDSTROM PROPERTY
541 SPRING HILL ROAD
ORONO, MINNESOTA
5-4-85
On April 20-27, 1985 four lots were tested for both a primary and an
alternate drainfield site under the provisions of Individual Sewage Treatment
Systems Standards (WPC-40). The other lot in the proposed subdivision is
the existing house.
Lot 1 had an average percolation rate of 12.8 minutes per inch on the
primary site(holes 1-4) and a rate of 10.7 MPI on the alternate site. With
the lack of a high water table, standard trenches are possible on both sites.
Lot 2 had sand soils and yielded an average percolation rate of 7.8
minutes per inch on the primary site(holes 1-4) and a rate of 10.0 MPI on
the alternate site(holes 5-6). Again, with the lack of a high water table
standard trenches would be possible.
Lot 3 is the existing house and Lot 4 had an average percolation rate
of 15.5 minutes per inch for the primary site(holes 1-4), and a rate of
30.0 minutes per inch on the alternate site(holes 5-6).Standard trenches
could be used on both sites also, but the alternate site could have the
trenches no de 6 ner than 2 fee
had an average percolation rate of 9.6 minutes per inch on the
:::
e(holes 1-4) and 7.9 MPI on the alternate site. Because of agh water table these areas were tested shallower for shallowems in the abundant black loam topsoil. Thus, shallow trencheseded for both sites and interceptor drains would be highly
.
a nouse is proposed, a specific system design would be needed.
If any other information is needed in the meantime, please contact me.
Sincerely,
PEERRCOR, INC.
Mark S.
