In September, 2016 <br /> the City issued a stop work notice for unpermitted construction of a new screen porch on the <br /> lake side of the home.A follow up inspection in July of 2017 showed that the porch had not <br /> been removed; no permit or variance applications had been submitted. The owners responded <br /> to the City's July 21, 2017 letter(Exhibit F) and met with staff to discuss the process for applying <br /> for an after-the-fact variance. The variance application was submitted on September 20th and <br /> made complete (all information submitted)on October 11th <br /> The screen porch was constructed in the place of a smaller 26 foot wide 2nd story deck which <br /> extended 11 feet from the house toward the lake.
