The current owners refaced the existing sign when they <br /> purchased the property as new pylon signs are no longer permitted. At this time they wish to <br /> remove the outdated pylon sign with a new low-profile stone monument sign. Variances are <br /> requested for setback, hardcover, and height from grade. <br /> LOT ANALYSIS WORKSHEET <br /> Section 78-3672,78-1468,&78-1279-Setbacks: <br /> B-2 Required Proposed <br /> Street 10' 3' <br /> Lakeshore 75' 60' <br /> Applicable Regulations: <br /> Sign Criteria—Minimum Clearance from Grade Variance (Section 78-1466) <br /> The applicant is proposing a low-profile monument sign which will be a total of 40-inches tall. <br /> Because their goal is to keep it low,they are requesting variance from the ground clearance <br /> requirement for the sign copy area. The code requires a minimum of 20 inches of clearance <br /> from grade for the sign copy area,they are proposing 16 inches of clearance.The 20 inch <br /> requirement is to facilitate placement of plantings around the sign. <br /> Street Setback Variance (Section 78-1468) <br /> The applicant is requesting a variance to permit the new Monument sign to be located 3 feet <br /> from the street property line where a 10 foot setback is required.The sign will be 20 feet from <br /> the fog line on Shoreline Drive. <br /> Lake Setback& Hardcover Variance (Sections 78-1279&78-1680) <br />
