PC Exhibit A <br /> 17-3925 <br /> May 15, 2017 <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. , THIRD SERIES <br /> 2 <br /> 3 CITY OF ORONO <br /> 4 HENNEPIN COUNTY,MINNESOTA <br /> 5 <br /> 6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> 7 PERTAINING TO SETBACKS FOR NON-CONFORMING RESIDENTIAL LOTS <br /> 8 <br /> 9 <br /> 10 THE CITY COUNCIL OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 SECTION 1. Section 78-1406 shall be amended by adding text to read as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Sec. 78-1406. —Additional yard provisions. <br /> 15 Required yards in the districts specified shall be subject to the following additional <br /> 16 requirements: <br /> 17 (1) Through lots. Through lots in any district shall have a required front yard on each street. <br /> 18 (2) B and I districts: adjacent lots. In the B and I districts, where the average depth of at least <br /> 19 two existing front yards for buildings within 150 feet of the lot in question are less or greater <br /> 20 than the minimum front yard depth required for the district, required front yards shall not be <br /> 21 less than the average depth of such existing front yards; however, the depth of a front yard <br /> 22 shall not be less than five feet nor be required to exceed 50 feet. <br /> 23 (3) R districts: adjacent lots. In any R district, where the average depth of at least two <br /> 24 existing front yards for buildings within 150 feet of the lot in question and within the same <br /> 25 block front is less or greater than the minimum front yard depth required for the district, the <br /> 26 required front yard shall not be less than the average depth of such existing front yards; <br /> 27 however, the depth of a front yard shall not be less than ten feet nor be required to exceed <br /> 28 50 feet. <br /> 29 (4) R districts: Side Yards adjacent to unimproved rights-of-way. In any residential district, <br /> 30 the setback for side yards adjacent to unimproved rights-of-way shall be the same as the <br /> 31 applicable interior side yard setback. Unimproved in this section shall be interpreted to mean <br /> 32 not improved or maintained by the city or county for vehicular travel. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 SECTION 2. Section 78-305 shall be amended by adding text to read as follows: <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Sec. 78-305. -Area, height, lot width and yard requirements. <br /> 37 (a) Height. No structure or building in the LR-1A district shall exceed 30 feet in height except as <br /> 38 provided in section 78-1366. <br /> 39 (b) Lots.
