The City of Orono letter dated August 17, 1998, was received by me yesterday by messenger. <br /> The letter addresses the issues with respect to building permits and construction on this site. <br /> 2. At the time of our joint inspection, I respectfully requested that the City of Orono address <br /> occupancy of the structure. Paragraph 1 of page 2 addresses this issue. <br /> 3. Paragraph 2 potentially authorizes work to proceed installing a roof replacement. <br /> 4. We had done some preliminary detailing with respect to the roof installation. These drafts are <br /> enclosed for discussion. I suggest that we finalize these details and proceed with the roof work. <br /> 5. Further, I suggest that we meet with the contractor to discuss this work and additional work. <br /> 6. Additionally, I suggest that I prepare a storm damage report followed by structural engineering <br /> required to verify the structural soundness of the constructed items. This activity should be <br /> coordinated with the City of Orono. <br /> 7.
