The braced wall line that includes the garage doors was analyzed as a gypsum <br /> board braced wall(method GB). <br /> Please note IRC Figures R602.10.8(1)and R602.10.8(2)Braced Wall Panel ...to Floor/Ceiling Framing connection <br /> requirements for the continuous method(attached). <br /> The attached sheet,C-1,provides detail on the braced wall assessment. The attached sheet,BP-1, indicates the locations of <br /> braced wall segments for the front elevation/garage entry on the main level of this house and the location of braced wall <br /> segments and portal frames. See Details Si and S2. <br /> You also asked that I review the tall wall at the sport court.Frame the exterior walls of the sport court indicated on your <br /> Lower Floor Plan as walkout foundation walls with(2)2X6s#2 SPF @ 12"centers,the exterior walls indicated over <br /> foundation Look Out walls with(1)2X6#2 SPF @ 12"centers and over the foundation walls indicated as Full Height frame <br /> with(1)2X6#2 SPF @ 16"centers. <br /> You asked me to comment on the tall wall framing at the exterior wall of the stair well.
