Window header <br /> b. Exterior sheathing <br /> 4) Install temporary interior bracing to support floor load during repair <br /> 5) Cut out drywall as required to expose framing <br /> a. Cut 2"below ceiling line(allows for drywall finishing not to disrupt ceiling) <br /> 6) Remove and replace all damaged framing listed above. <br /> a. Build framing unit with sheathing attached and covered with ice and water shield for moisture barrier <br /> b. Attach to existing framing <br /> c. Drill through sheathing in to brick, Epoxy anchor bolts in brick to replace brick ties <br /> d. Fasten bolts to sheathing snug, but not tight,to allow movement and support to brick veneer <br /> e. Insulate with new as required, Install header <br /> f. New header to be double 9.5"LVL engineered lumber continuous span over all 3 windows <br /> i. Note—header has structural post between window units <br /> 7) Sheetrock interior wall <br /> a. Sheet rock to be taped and sanded to a paintable finish <br /> i. No interior priming or painting is included <br /> 8) "Renewal by Andersen "to install windows under a separate permit <br /> 9) Install flashing over the two metal vents <br /> a. Cut out the mortar joint at the top of the vents <br /> b.
