INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br /> 1. RECEIVING BIDS <br /> 1.1 Sealed bids will be received by the OWNER, at the offices of the ENGINEER, <br /> Sathre-Bergquist, Inc., 150 South Broadway, Wayzata, Minnesota 55391. <br /> 1.2 BIDS will be received up to the date and time specified on the PROPOSAL FORM. <br /> BIDS received after the specified time will be returned unopened. <br /> 2. EXAMINATION OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND SITE <br /> 2.1 PLANS and SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the offices of the ENGINEER. <br /> Additional information maybe obtained from those offices. <br /> 2.2 BIDDERS must familiarize themselves with all ordinances and statutes pertaining to <br /> public improvements, and examine and determine for themselves the location and <br /> nature of the proposed WORK, and the amount and character of the labor and <br /> materials required therefore, and the difficulties which may be encountered. Each <br /> BIDDER shall visit the site of the WORK and shall thoroughly <br /> and fully inform himself relative to construction hazards and procedure, labor, and <br /> all other conditions and factors, local and otherwise, which would affect the <br /> prosecution and completion of the WORK and its cost. Such considerations shall <br /> include the arrangement and conditions of existing structures and facilities affecting, <br /> or which are affected by, the proposed WORK, the procedure necessary for <br /> maintenance of uninterrupted operation of existing facilities, the availability and cost <br /> of labor, and facilities for transportation, handling, and storage of materials and <br /> equipment. All such factors shall be properly investigated and considered in the <br /> preparation of the BIDDER'S proposal. There will be no subsequent financial <br /> adjustment to any CONTRACT for lack of such prior information or its effect on the <br /> cost of the WORK. <br /> 3. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION <br /> 3.1 Bids shall be submitted in ink on the Proposal Form which is bound into the <br /> SPECIFICATIONS. The SPECIFICATIONS, Proposal Form, and Agreement are in <br /> one volume and this shall be submitted intact, in a sealed envelope plainly marked as <br /> to the Title of Project. <br /> Each proposal must contain the full name or names and post office address of the <br /> BIDDER or BIDDERS, and any person signing any proposal as agent of another or of <br /> a firm, must furnish legal evidence of his authority to do so. <br /> More than one proposal from an individual firm, partnership or corporation under the <br /> same or different names will not be considered. Evidence that any BIDDER is <br /> interested in more than one proposal for the same WORK will cause rejection of all <br /> IB - 1 <br />
