The required remedial <br /> work remaining consists of: <br /> 1. Removal of sand in excess of 6-inches in depth and in conformance with the <br /> City of Orono's requirements. Some sand had been removed, prior to the <br /> above referenced site visit, but what remains does not conform with either of <br /> the above requirements. <br /> 2. Removal of top rocks of riprap installation where the riprap extends above the <br /> level of the natural shoreline. This had not been done. <br /> 3. Hand-placement of rocks in existing riprap voids with rocks removed above <br /> and/or additional rock. It appears that landscape binder rock was poured over <br /> the top of the existing installation. While this may be somewhat beneficial, <br /> the intent was to "hand-place" various sized rocks into existing voids such that <br /> the finished product be well packed and contain no significant voids. <br /> Additional effort along these lines is required. <br />
