RESOLUTION NO. 56-2017 <br /> RESOLUTION ON THE CONCURRENT <br /> DETACHMENT AND ANNEXATION OF LAND <br /> WHEREAS, Minn. Stat.§ 414.061 authorizes the concurrent detachment and annexation <br /> of land; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono and the City of Wayzata have agreed to the concurrent <br /> detachment and annexation of two parcels of property; and <br /> WI3EREAS,the City Council of Orono adopted resolution No. 6792 approving and <br /> authorizing the detachment of land described on the attached Exhibit A(the"Property") from <br /> Orono and the annexation of it to Wayzata, contingent on the City of Wayzata adopting a <br /> similar resolution and the chief administrative law judge of the State Office of Administrative <br /> Hearings, Municipal Boundary Adjustment Unit, approving such detachment and annexation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Wayzata, Minnesota: <br /> 1. The Property shall be detached from Orono and annexed to Wayzata, contingent <br /> upon the approval of the chief administrative law judge of the State Office of <br /> Administrative Hearings, Municipal Boundary Adjustment Unit. <br /> 2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the City of <br /> Orono and the chief administrative law judge of the State Office of <br /> Administrative Hearings, Municipal Boundary Adjushnent Unit. <br /> Adopted by the Wayzata City Council this 21 St day of November, 2017. <br /> Ken Willcox, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> � <br /> �� � <br /> Jeffrey Dahl, City Manager <br />
