5. Article XVIII — Wages. <br />Recommended Tentative Agreement: <br />2017-2.5% <br />2018-2.5% <br />2019- 2% on 1/1/19 and 1% on 7/1/19 <br />6. Article XIX — Insurance. <br />Accept <br />7. Article XXI — Vacation. <br />Decline (21.1, 21.2, 21.3) —Orono fits within the market norm for vacation leave. <br />The City is committed to allowing and encouraging officers to utilize their vacation time. <br />The City does not want officers banking large quantities of time and would rather have <br />the officers utilize their time off. The City is aware of only one instance where an officer <br />was denied vacation. The City is also without knowledge of why an officer would need <br />more time off given that most cash in their holiday time for pay rather than taking the <br />time off. <br />Union has dropped this issue. <br />8. Article XXIV — Severance Pay. <br />Accept <br />Article XXV — Post Employment Health Care Saving Account. <br />25.1 - Accept — Moving to an MOU is fine. <br />9. Article XXVI - Training. <br />Accept — The City pays for travel to mandatory training at their regular rate of pay and <br />limits travel time for voluntary/optional training to 1 hour per day.
