Bolton and Menk Review Letter <br />B. Invoice <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain Council authorization for Pay Request #1 for the <br />rehabilitation of the trail that runs along the west side of Brown Road North. <br />2. Background. The rehabilitation of the Brown Road trail is part of the City Pavement Management <br />Plan and is listed for 2016 in the Capital Investment Plan (CIP). In December of 2015 the Council <br />approved Bolton and Menk proposal to conduct surveying and engineering for the project. In July the <br />Council awarded the project to Bituminous Roadways and Advanced Wall Structures. <br />3. Scope of Work. This project rehabilitated the 0.7miles bituminous trail that runs along Brown Road <br />North. Rehabilitation included a combination of patching, replacing, and sealing the pavement. In <br />addition, the retaining wall along that section of the trail was rehabilitated by salvaging existing blocks <br />and correcting/adding geogrid and re -installing the block on portions of two walls leaning into the trail. <br />4.
