I just want to let you know that Shawn and I have NO issues with the retaining <br />wall. We love the way it looks and think it adds a lot of beauty to our little drive. In addition, I think it <br />will alleviate a safety concern that I have because of all the snow that had been getting piled on that <br />corner. The snow plows seem to love to put all of the snow on the corner creating a visual hazard <br />because we couldn't see any cars coming from that direction. The city of Orono requires <br />zoning and encroachment permits which 1 am in the process of applying for. <br />I believe this retaining wall is necessary for erosion control.
