(Appendix B). A survey of the delineation by Schoborg Land Surveyors is included in
Appendix C.
Wetland 1 was a Type 2/3 (PEM 1 B/PEM 1 C)wet meadow/shallow marsh dominated by
Kentucky bluegrass, fowl bluegrass, reed canary grass and cattail that transitioned to open water
(Lake Minnetonka). Saturation was observed at the surface with free water at 11"below the soil
surface. Additional secondary hydrology indicators observed include Geomorphic Position and
FAC-Neutral Test. This wetland covered 0.08 acres within the property boundary.
Adjacent upland at the sample location was dominated by Kentucky bluegrass and ground ivy.
The delineated boundary followed a gradual change in topography and was placed along the
transition zone from wetland to upland plant communities, where hydrology indicators were no
longer present, and the transition from hydric to non-hydric soils. Wetland 1 was indicated on
the NWI map as a PEM1C wetland and was located in an area of mapped Muskego/Blue
Earth/Houghton (hydric) on the soil survey. Wetland 1 is fringe wetland adjacent to Lake
Minnetonka.
Other Areas
No other areas with wetland vegetation or hydrology were observed on the site.
4
