� 10 . 61 <br /> Subd. 2. Signs in "R" Districts. Within "R" Districts, - <br /> the following signs are permitted: <br /> A. Nameplates. <br /> l. One nameplate sign for each dwelling and <br /> such sign shall not exceed two square feet in area per surface, and <br /> no sign shall be so constructed as to have more than two surfaces. <br /> 2. One nameplate sign for each dwelling group <br /> of six or more units, and such sign shall not exceed six square <br /> feet in area per surface and no sign shall be so constructed as to <br /> have more than two surfaces. <br /> 3. One nameplate sign for each permitted use <br /> or use by conditional permit other than residential and such sign <br /> shall not exceed twelve square feet in area per surface . <br /> B. Illumination. Symbols, statues, sculptures and <br /> integrated architectural features on non-residential buildings may <br /> be illuminated by flood lights provided the direct source of light <br /> is not visible from the public right-of-way or adjacent residential <br /> district. <br /> C. Setbacks, Etc. Any sign over one-half square <br /> foot shall be set back at least five feet from any property line. <br /> No sign shall exceed eight feet in heigh t above the average grade <br /> level. Signs may ,be illuminated but such lighting shall be <br /> diffused or indirect. <br /> Subd. 3. S igns in "B" -and "I" Distr icts. Within the "B" <br /> and "I" Districts nameplate signs and business signs are permitted <br /> subject to the following regulations: <br /> Source : �Iunicipal Code <br /> Effective Date: 9-14-67 <br /> A. "B-1", "B-2" and "B-4": Size. Within the "B-1", <br /> "B-2" and "B-4" Districts, the aggregate square footage . of sign <br /> space per lot shall not exceed the sum of one square foot for each <br /> front foot of building, plus one square foot for each front foot of <br /> lot not occupied by a building. No individual sign shall exceed <br /> fifty square feet. <br /> Source : Ordinance No. 172 <br /> Effective Date: 1-1-75 <br /> B. "B-3": Size. Within the "B-3" District, the <br /> aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall not exceed the <br /> sum of four square feet per front foot of building, plus one square <br /> foot per front foot of property not occupied by a building. No <br /> individual sign surface shall exceed 100 square feet. <br /> C. "I" : Size. Within any "I " Distric•t, the <br />_ aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall not exceed the <br /> ORONO CC 381 43-1-84) <br />
