, .�o�. <br /> 0 0 <br /> CITY of ORONO <br /> ,� , �, <br /> ti <br /> ti <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ���kESII�4�G NO. � �' � $ <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> GRANTING VARIANCES <br /> TO THE ORONO, MINNESOTA, CITY CODE <br /> SECTIONS 78-330 AND 78-1288 <br /> FILE NO. 10-3459 <br /> WHEREAS, Barbara A. Halper, a single person, (hereinafter "Owner") is <br /> the owner of the property located at 3200 North Shore Drive within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter "City") and legally described as: The east 57.75 feet of that part of Government <br /> Lot 1, Section 8, Township 117, Range 23, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying north of the <br /> Road(hereinafter "the Property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Owner has made an application to the City for a variance to <br /> Orono Code Section 78-330 to allow modification of the roofline of the dormer on the street <br /> side of the house when part of the dormer is only 8.1 feet from the side property line and a 10 <br /> foot setback is required; and <br /> WHEREAS, Owner has made application to the City for a Variance to Orono <br /> Code Section 78-1288 to have hardcover in the 75 to 250 foot zone in excess of the allowed <br /> 25 percent to allow enlargement of the lakeside steps and retention of existing hardcover; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the Orono, Minnesota, City Code, the Orono Planning Commission <br /> held a public hearing on May 17, 2010, at which times all persons desiring to be heard <br /> concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File#10-3459. <br /> 2. The Property is located in the LR-1B zoning district, where 1.0 acre is the <br /> minimum lot area and 140 feet is the minimum lot width. The Property is <br /> approximately 0.68 acre in area, 68 feet in defined width and 57.75 feet in <br /> width measured perpendicular to the side property lines.
