VIOLATION REPORT - <br /> DEFENDANT: Mark Breneman, General Manager <br /> North Shore Drive Marina <br /> 3222 North Shore Drive <br /> Orono, MN 55391 <br /> PROPERTY OWNER: Larry Hork <br /> North Shore Drive Marina . <br /> 3222 North Shore Drive <br /> Orono, MN 55391 <br /> LOCATION OF VIOLATION: 3222 North Shore Drive <br /> VIOLATION OF: Orono Municipal Code Section 10.61, Subd. 3 (D) - <br /> Signage non-conforming to sign code. <br /> INSPECTOR: Lyle Oman, Building Official <br /> BADGE: #581 <br /> DESCRIPTION OF VIOLATION: <br /> Defendant was notified by phone several times that a permit <br /> was required for signage and that the sign that was installed <br /> does not meet the requirements of the Orono Municipal Code. On <br /> 5-13-91 the defendant submitted a sign permit application and was <br /> told by Jeanne A. Mabusth, Zoning Administrator that the sign <br /> does not meet the code requirements. He then asked to appeal <br /> the Zoning Administrator' s decision to the City Planning <br /> Commission. Zoning Administrator told the defendant to remove <br /> the sign until such a time it may be approved. On 6-17-91 <br /> Planning Commission supported staffs interpretation of the code <br /> and ordered the sign to be removed by 7-3-91. A site inspection <br /> on 7-22-91 was conducted and the sign had not been removed. <br /> ACTION TAKEN: Citation #391-0432255 issued. <br /> The Citys objective is to have the sign removed and to fine <br /> the defendant to cover costs incurred in inforcing the ordinance. <br />
