Our current review is based on the following submittal items:
• Wetland Buffer Planting Plan; stamped 4/15/13
• Buffer area sketch
Wetland Buffer review memorandum by Bonestroo; dated 5/13/11
We offer the following observations, comments, and recommendations for your consideration:
1. The final seed mix should be submitted for review and approval prior to seeding to ensure the mix
includes 12 pounds pure live seed (PLS) per acre of native prairie grass seed and five pounds PLS
per acre of native forbs. Native prairie grass and native forb mixes shall contain no fewer than four
and five species respectively.
2. The plan indicates that seeding of vegetation that can withstand winter will be broadcast in mid
October and seeding of vegetation that will work best in spring will be broadcast in late April. A
final seed mix should be submitted for review to determine the best time of year to broadcast.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
Sincerely,
BOLTON & MENK, INC.
a `a'`
Robert E.
