This connection will <br /> require a City of Orono sewer connection permit of a $35.50 fee and payment of a Sewer <br /> Availability Charge (SAC) of$1,000 the 1998 rate. This charge increases $50.00 per year, so the <br /> 1999 charge would be $1,050. This SAC fee is paid to the City of Orono. The City then remits this <br /> fee to the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) organization. This fee is payment i <br /> for sewer capacity that is built in the MCES sewer system to serve new sewer connections.
