, <br /> SECTION 16155 <br /> RESIDENTIAL METERING SYSTEM <br /> ' <br /> 1 .00 GENERAL <br /> , A. The Contractor shall provide a complete residenrial metering system, consisring of a <br /> service entrance main disconnect, unified modular meter centers, single position meter <br /> , sockets and required tap box modules. <br /> B. All equipment shall be UL rated, with tin plated current carrying parts and barrel type <br /> lugs suitable for 60°/ 75° aluminum or copper wire, NEMA Type 3R enclosures and <br /> � ANSI light gray paint finish. An integral bus system shall be provided, allowing each <br /> modular unit to be easily connected to each other. <br /> ' C. Main disconnect shall accept underground or overhead feed and shall have padlocking <br /> provisions. <br /> D. Modular meter centers shall consist of individual meter sockets and breakers, <br /> , configured as shown on the Drawings. The unmetered bus in each meter module shall <br /> be completely barriered to prevent unauthorized access. Meter sockets shall have <br /> individual covers of ring or ringless style design. A separate compartment shall be <br /> ' provided for the individual branch circuit breakers. Covers over tenant section <br /> wireways shall be removable with watt-hour meters sealed in place. <br /> ' E. Meter sockets shall be continuous duty rated. Meter socket jaws shall be connected to <br /> the vertical bus with bus connection straps. Bolts joining the straps to the bus shall be <br /> accessible outside the socket base with the meter removed. Bus connections shall be <br /> provided between the socket load jaws and individual branch breakers. Line side meter <br /> ' �aws shall have meter guides. All meter guides shall be spring reinforced. Meter <br /> sockets shall be equipped with a fully rated, 200 amp lever by-pass that shall also <br /> provide clamping pressure on meter blades. Meter sockets shall be equipped with a <br /> � track resistant, poly-carbonate, insulating safety shield. Meter socket terminals shall be <br /> rated for conductors from#6 to#350, CU and AL. <br /> F.
