Include latex additive manufacturers' interpretation of test results relative to mortaz and
grout performance and recommendations for installation practices needed to obtain adhesion.
JALTTY ASSURANCE
Installer ualif'ications: Engage an experienced Installer who has successfully completed unit
paver installations similar in material, design, and extent to that indicated for Project.
Sinle-Source Resvonsibilitv: Obtain each color, type, and variety of unit pavers, joint materials,
and setting materials from a single source with resources to pmvide products and materials of
consistent quality in appearance and physical properties without delaying progress of the Work.
DELIVERY.STORAGE.AND HANDLING
Protect unitavers and aQaregate during storage and construction against wetting by rain, snow,or
ground water and against soilage or contamination from earth and other materials.
Protect out and mortar rriaterials from deterioration by moisture and temperature. Store in a dry
location or in a waterproof container. Keep containers tighdy closed and away from open flame.
Protect liquid components from freezing.
PROJECT CONDTTIONS
Cold-Weather Protection: Do not use frozen materials or materials mixed or coated with ice or
frost. Do not build on froun subgrade or setting beds. Remove and replace unit paver work
damaged by frost or freezing. _
Weather Limitations: Protect unit paver work against freezing when atmospheric temperature is
40 deg. F(4 deg. C)and faling. Heat materials and provide temporary protection of completed
portions of unit paver work. Comply with International Masonry All-Weatlr Conncil's "Guide ,
Specification for Cold-Weather Masonry Constrcrion," Section 04200,Article 3.
Hot-Weather Reauirements: Protect unit paver work when tmperature and humidity conditions
produce excessive evaporation of setting beds and grout. Provide artificial shade and wind breaks
and use cooled materials as required. Do not apply mortaz to substrates with temperatures of 100
deg.
