Co. , Mn <br /> This On-Site Sewage Treatment System is Designed for a Type 1, four <br /> bedroom home Designed in accordance with the Minnesota Pollution <br /> Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local ordinances . <br /> This site has an existing failing system with surface discharge. <br /> The existing tanks may be used upon approval by the local Inspector. <br /> The tanks must be water tight or will need to be abandoned, pumped <br /> & filled with soil . Approval will be needed for the existing tanks <br /> to be 50 ' from a wetland or if new tanks are installed, 35 ' from <br /> a wetland. The pumping chamber will need approval for 50 ' . <br /> The soils on this site are a loamy sand . A seasonally high water <br /> table was located at 86" , (mottled soil ) . The bottom of the <br /> system must be located at least 3 ' above the seasonally high <br /> water table . A 5tandard Trench System may be installed. <br /> The soils at a depth of 30" have a percolation rate averaging <br /> . 7 min/inch. <br /> Each trench will need to be over excavated a minimum of 12" and be <br /> replaced with uncompacted loamy sand. This liner is needed to slow <br /> the effluent down for treatment. If drop boxes are used with a <br /> minimum of four trenches, this liner is not needed. Recommend drop <br /> boxes . <br /> A pumping chamber wi11 need to be installed to lift the effluent <br /> to the treatment area. <br /> The power supply and switches must be located outside the mar►hole <br /> and pumping chamber in a we.ather proof enclosure. A warning device <br /> must be installed with a light and sound device, this is in case of <br /> a pump failure . (mercury floats are a good method) . <br /> All neighboring wells are located greater than 100 ' away from the <br /> proposed treatment area . <br /> CONT ' D <br />
