Box 66 <br /> Orono, Minnesota 55323 <br /> Dear Mike, <br /> I appreciated your taking the time for our phone conversation last <br /> Wednesday referencing the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. As I <br /> e�lained,it had been our intent to renovate the present building,yet <br /> when the estimated costs were determined, the difference between a <br /> remodelled and new building was rather surprising! The reason for the <br /> inquiry was to understand the process of approval from the City of <br /> Orono for a new building prior to our reviewing this as an option. <br /> As I understand, the approval process for a new building would follow <br /> the same procedure as remodelling. First, the Art Center requests a <br /> conditional use permit to build,which is reviewed by the planning <br /> commission who then sends the request to the City Council.
