SYSTEM # 1 —FIRE ALARM SYSTEM <br /> A. SEQUENCE OF OPERATION: <br /> The entire facility is provided with a supervised fire alarm system with visual and audible fire <br /> alarm devices (horns/strobes) per NFPA72. There is a central fire alarm panel (FAPC) <br /> located in Room 131 and one remote annunciator located at front entry room 100. <br /> • Area smoke detector <br /> • Area heat detector <br /> • Manual pull station <br /> • Sprinkler system flow switch <br /> • Elevator hoistway smoke/heat detector <br /> • Kitchen hood ansul system <br /> Upon activation of any of the aforementioned devices the following sequence will occur: <br /> • Signal will be sent to the fire alarm panel and remote annunciatior. <br /> • Signal will be sent to off site monitoring center <br /> • Make up air handling units will shut down. <br /> • All fire/smoke dampers will close. <br /> • AudioNisual alarms will be activated through out the facility <br /> The following devices will indicate supervisory signal only at the fire alarm panel, remote <br /> annunciator and off site monitoring station. <br /> • HVAC duct smoke detectors <br /> • Sprinkler system tamper switches <br /> • Fire system storage tank pressure switch <br /> • Fire system storage tank high/low float switch <br /> The following devices will indicate trouble signal only at the fire alarm panel, remote <br /> annunciators. <br /> • FACP loss of power <br /> • FACP low battery <br /> • Dirty smoke detector <br /> • Open, ground, shorts <br /> • Removal of any device <br /> • Loss of phone lines <br /> ', <br /> Minnetonka Center for the Arts 4 <br /> Certificate of Occupancy Testing Manual <br />
