I wrote both of these o��ners letters to ir�stall new septic systems in the spring/summer of 2003 depending on the weather conditions. Both property owners told me that they would have new mound septic systems put in no later than the end of the summer 2003. I have talked to them and the installer several times during the summer and they tell me that the system will be put in. The season is now over to install mounds for 2003 and I do not even have a permit issued for the mound and the mound is not put in yet. Action Requested: I would like you to send this individual a letter stating he has until June 15, 2004 to install a ne«-mound. They must also get a septic contract set up, and approved by the city of Orono, with a septic pumper by December 15, 2003. This will ensure that the septic tanks are pumped when they become full so they are no longer sending sewage to the drainf eld.
