, � , <br /> This section of road has a speed limit of 30 MPH. It also has "reverse turn"warning signs (yellow diamond shaped signs <br /> with an arrow with two 90 degree bends) and advisory speed plaques showing 15 MPH. There are two of these for the <br /> north/west bound direction and one for the eastbound direction. This is about as much as we can do with standard <br /> signing. You have stated that even when an officer is present and ticketing speeders, it does not solve the problem. <br /> Experience has shown us that if enforcement is not helping, more or bigger signage is not likely to help either. <br /> I can appreciate your suggestion of a mirror to help you to know if vehicles are approaching from the east. However, this <br /> would not be something the county would provide or recommend. A mirror can be distracting to drivers on the county <br /> road and could cause glare from the sun or headlights to impair the vision of drivers. I do not know how a mirror could be <br /> located so it would help you to exit your driveway and not ever cause a problem for other vehicles. <br /> There is not much we can do about this situation. The best solution would be to relocate your driveway somehow or <br /> realign the county road. Neither of those options are practical or cheap. We are encouraged that there is no known <br /> history of crashes at this location and that the driveway has been in this location for quite a number of years. Signing is <br /> probably not the answer and you have said that enforcement has limited impact. I encourage you to continue to be <br /> cautious when you exit your driveway. If you are able, making a left turn out of your driveway should be safer than <br /> making a right turn.
