Hovland <br /> PO box 41413 <br /> Plymouth MN 55441 <br /> Re: 1245 North Arm hazardous Garage <br /> Dear Mr. Hovland, <br /> In 1992 the city granted a variance to replace a garage on your property that was described as seriousiy <br /> deteriorated.As of this date the garage has not been replaced and is still seriously deteriorated.The city <br /> considers it to be a hazardous building.Therefore the city must require you to repair or remove the <br /> structure. <br /> Your choices to remedy the situation are as follows. <br /> 1- You could obtain a building permit and repair the structure. <br /> 2- You could obtain a building permit and replace the structure in kind. <br /> 3- You could obtain a demolition permit and remove the structure. <br /> 4- You could enter into an agreement with the city to have the structure removed.The cost would <br /> then be assessed to your taxes in 5 equal annual installments at 89'o interest per annum.A ball <br /> park estimate of$6000 has been received by the city. <br /> 5- You could do nothing and the city will proceed with a hazardous building action and obtain a <br /> court order to remove the structure.The cost would then be assessed to your taxes all at one <br /> time. <br /> City ordinance would allow you to rebuild the structure in kind if you were to obtain a building permit <br /> within 6 months of the demolition.
