During subsequent property inspections it is apparent that the <br /> illegal use has not been discontinued. Storage of equipment and materials for a contractor business continues to be <br /> housed on the residential property illegally. Therefore this letter wi(1 serve as your official notice that you must <br /> discontinue any the illegal commercial use of your property by October 10,2005 in order to avoid legal action by the <br /> City. <br /> Home occupations within the City of Orono are regulated under City Code Section 78-1376 which was previously <br /> mailed to you. It appears that your commercial use of the above property qualifies under section 78-1376(e)(7)as a <br /> Prohibited Home Occupation. Operating a contracting shop and/or storage associated with a prohibited home <br /> occupation is strictly prohibited within a residential district. The office of such a business is pennitted however any <br /> storage of materials,vehicles or equipment(either outdoor storage or within a garage)associated with the contracting <br /> business is strictly prohibited. <br /> Please discontinue this activity by no later than October 10,2005 or this matter will be forwarded to the Orono City <br /> Attorney for legal action;your properiy will be monitared to assure comp(iance.
