Co. , MN
This On-Site Sewage Treatment System is Designed for a Type 1, three
bedroom home Designed in accordance with the Minnesota Pollution
Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local ordinances .
This site has an existing failing system due to being too small &
located in a high seasonally high water table. The bottom of the
system is in standinq water. The system consists of holdinq tanks
with 1 possibly 2 trenches which are located in the wooded area.
Effluent is surface discharging at the south end of the system.
The rock is approx. 12" below the ground surface. Gn-Site Sewage
Treatment systems do not fail over night, it takes a period of
several years , when located in such conditions, approx. 7 to 10
years . With the size of the system, it is highly likely that
surface discharging has occured for some time in the wooded area.
The soils on this site are SCS soils mapped - HbB - Hayden loam.
A seasonally high water table was located at 16" to 20" , (mottled
soil ) . Due to the seasonal.ly high water table , a Pressurized
Mound System will need to be installed. The bottom of the rock
bed must be located at least 3 ' above the seasonally high water
table. Approval will be needed for a 40 ' setback from a wetland,
10 ' from the property line along Hwy. 12 & 15 ' to the west property
line .
The soils at a depth af 12" have a percolation rate averaging
4 . 4 min/inch.
A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent
to the treatment area.
The manifold and supply line pipe must have back drainage to the
pumping chamber . The distribution pipes shall have their ends
capped. Be sure the rock and sand fill material are clean. The
sod layer below the entire mounded area must be turned over, just
break up the sod, be sure not to over work.
CONT' D
