Melanie Curtis
From: Catherine Bach [cbach@minnehahacreek.org]
Sent: Tuesday, November 23, 2010 1:27 PM
To: Luke Schwitzer; Derek Ingvalson
Cc: Steve Christopher; Melanie Curtis
Subject: RE: Soil Stockpile at 601 Minnetonka Highlands Lane, Orono
Attachments: image001.png
FYI—
I just got a call back from Nathan VanCamp regarding the letter I just sent him (below). He was upset with the limited
amount of time he had to complete the stabilization of stockpiles (deadline of 8:00 AM Wednesday 12/1). I had to
explain that we have been particularly lenient with him in the first place letting him keep the stockpite within the
wetland, especially considering the fact that perimeter control was not installed. He said he did have silt fence installed,
but he took it out to do some other work on the property. He said he could probably have the temporary stabilization
done by Friday 12/3, and I agreed to this deadline extension. He should be sending me an e-mail when the stabilization
is complete, but if I haven't heard from him by next Friday (12/3), I told him we would send an inspector out to make
sure it was completed. If it's not completed, we'll go from there...
Catherine Bach
District Technician
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
18202 Minnetonka Boulevard
Deephaven, MN 55391
Direct: (952) 641-4504
Main Office: (952)471-0590
www.minnehahacreek.org
... ;
--....=
MINNEHAHA CREfK
wATERS►+ED DiSTRtCT
Think Green - please do not print this email unless necessary
From: Catherine Bach
Sent: Tuesday, November 23, 2010 10:49 AM
To: 'Nathan VanCamp'
Cc: Steve Christopher; Melanie Curtis
Subject: Soil Stockpile at 601 Minnetonka Highlands Lane, Orono
Nathan,
Attached is a letter outlining the findings of the inspection of the stockpile on your property that took place on
11/17/10. Please note the corrective action required (deadline is 8:00 AM on Wednesdav. December 1). A paper copy
will follow in the mail. Let me know if you have any questions.
1
