' � �1V' <br /> O O <br /> a � <br /> CITY of ORO�NO <br /> ti <br /> �� G~' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �`�kEsKo�`'� No. 5 8 6 � <br /> A RESOLUTION TO RELEASE TAX FORFEITED <br /> LAND FOR SALE TO ADJACENT OWNERS <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and existing under laws <br /> of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, the City has received from Heruiepin <br /> County notification that a parcel of land within the Cit�� has become the property of the Sta.te of <br /> Minnesota for non-payment of real estate t�es,referencing C/NC List#1481,said parcel identified <br /> as PINS 17-117-23-43-0072; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said land for compliance with local zoning <br /> ordinances,for the amount of outstanding special assessments remaining unpaid to the City,and/or <br /> for possible public use by the City as authorized in the Statutes. In addition the Council has <br /> reviewed said land and certified that this parcel need not be withheld from sale pursuant to <br /> Minnesota Statutes 8�.021, 92.461, 282.01, Subd. 8, 282.018, Subd. 1 or 282.018, Subd. 2. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Orono, <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282,hereby approves the classification of said parcel of land as Non- <br /> Conservation land,and further approves the sale of said land to adjacent homestead property owners, <br /> with the following recommended conditions: <br /> 1. The parcel to be sold remains subject to applicable zoning ordinance provisions, including <br /> those regulations providing for minimum lot area and minimum lot width. Substandard <br /> parcels may be usable only in combination with other adjoining parcel(s). This property does <br /> not meet current zoning standards. <br /> 2. Release of this parcel by the City Council is subject to the condition that upon purcha.se by <br /> adjacent property owner of said tax forfeit pazcel, purchaser shall legally combine for tax <br /> purposes the adjacent existing homestead property and said tax forfeit parcel. <br /> 3. Release of this land by the City Council is subject to the condition that all outstanding special <br /> assessments shall be paid in full to the City upon return to private ownership. Any amount <br /> not recovered at the time of sale shall be subject to reassessment by the City. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
