� <br /> � 7. Drain Field <br /> � a. Proposed drain field: 10' x 50' = 500 square feet of a pressurized mound <br /> drain field. <br /> � b. Excavate the drain field at the location depicted on the Figures and staked <br /> onsite. <br /> � c. Cut any vegetation to a height of 2-3". Remove any trees or brush that is <br /> within the proposed drain field area. <br /> �� d. Ensure the soils are below the plastic limit and rough up the soils within <br /> , the area of the mound to a depth of 8 inches. <br /> � e. Install clean washed sand meeting the requirements of State Code Chapter <br /> 7080.2220, subpart 3, item C, in the mound area. <br /> � f. Create a level 50'L x 10' W x 0.9' D, rock bed by installing clean sewer <br /> ' rock,meeting the requirement of Minnesota Rules Chapter 7080. <br /> � g. Install the lateral distribution network with (3) 2" laterals above rock bed <br /> with flushing valves at the end of each lateral. Cover laterals with 2" of <br /> clean sewer rock. <br /> � h. Install 4" observation pipe to the bottom of the rock bed and 1 foot above <br /> finished grade. <br /> � i. Cover entire bed area with a non-woven geo-textile fabric that is not so <br /> heavy as to prevent good air exchange. Install a sandy to loamy soil <br /> � material over the rock bed with a depth of one foot at the center of the bed, <br /> tapering to six inches at the sides. <br /> � j. Install six inches of topsoil over the entire mound. Establish a vegetative <br /> cover over the entire mound. <br /> � , , <br /> � 8. Lateral Network <br /> a. Each bed will contain (3) 2" sch. 40 PVC laterals with 1/4" orifices with <br /> spacing detailed in the design worksheets (Appendix C). <br /> � b. Install a 2" sch. 40 PVC su 1 line from dischar e i e from the lift <br /> PPY g PP <br /> pump to a 2" solid manifold. <br /> � 9. Insulation <br /> � a. Installer responsible to take measures where freezing potential is high <br /> (under trails, paths, driveway or long sewer line runs, etc...) to protect <br /> � <br /> � 4 <br />
