Thank you for checking with the District on if you will need a permit. From your site plan it appears that you will need an
erosion control permit with the District. Our erosion control rules are triggered if there is either a land disturbance of
5,000 sq ft or more (not applicable with your project),or if there is grading, excavating, filling,or storing on site 50 cubic
yards of soil/earth material or more.
I have attached a permit application, erosion control supplemental form, and a permit application checklist to this email.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Lauren Sampedro
District Representative
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
15320 Minnetonka Blvd
Minnetonka, MN 55345
952-641-4580
MINHHAMA CItEEK
wwtEqeC C►asrRi'r
From:Sonja Benson [mailto:sbensonphd@msn.com]
Sent:Thursday, May 14, 2015 3:41 PM
To: Permitting; Sonja Benson
Subject:city of orono needs info
The city of Orono requires that I have proof that I do not need a permit from you. I am changing out my
driveway from asphalt to concrete, adding approximately 400 sq ft. as written on the side.
I will be putting in an above grade "guard wall" to prevent any vehicles from slipping down the edge of the hill
that is at the edge of the driveway. It is NOT a retaining wall as it's above the driveway and will have rebar less
than 1' below grade just to hold it in place. It's not holding back anything.
Thank you
Sonja Lockman
115 Luce Line Ridge
Orono, MN 55359
z
