CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 6766 <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />A MAINTANENCE BUILDING AND AN <br />AFTER -THE -FACT OUTDOOR KITCHEN AND PATIO <br />PER THE PROVISIONS OF <br />ORONO ZONING CODE SECTIONS78418 and 78-916 <br />AT 685 N. OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD <br />FILE NO. 17-3936 <br />WHEREAS, the Orono Public Schools ISD 278, (hereinafter "the Applicant") is Owner <br />of the property located at 685 N. Old Crystal Bay Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City"), <br />identified as Hennepin County PINS 33-118-23-21-0002, legally described as: <br />The south 940 feet of Government Lot 1, Section 33, Township 118, Range 23, Hennepin <br />County, Minnesota, subject to roads (hereinafter the "Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Owner has made application to the City of Orono for a Conditional Use <br />Permit (hereinafter "CUP") to allow the construction of a maintenance garage and an outdoor kitchen area; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, within the RR -1 B One -family Rural Residential Zoning District in which the <br />Property is located, "Schools, daycare centers, uses accessory to a high school' may be allowed as an <br />Conditional Use, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File 17-3936. <br />2. The analysis contained within staff memos and the exhibits attached to the aforesaid <br />memos, all minutes from the above mentioned meetings, and any and all other materials <br />distributed at these meetings are hereby incorporated by reference. <br />3. The Property is zoned RR -1B One -family Rural Residential District requiring a minimum <br />lot area of 2.00 acres and a minimum lot width of 200 feet. The Property is approximately <br />32 acres in area. <br />4. The Outdoor kitchen is part of an outdoor learning and gathering pavilion that is customary <br />improvement in a high school campus. <br />5.
