' - <br /> �� /� ( — �(kv t�lv (-�-'7' YO u �1,1 lst-�-`I� �l�(CES ��l S ' �w�. � � �?�7. <br /> r �., <br /> � <br /> RESOLUTION #786 <br /> A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE USE OF LONG <br /> LAKE BOULEVARD FIRE LANE 1535-1545 LONG <br /> LAKE BOULEVARD (OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE <br /> IVY LANE ACCESS) <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission have <br /> reviewed the petition of eighteer. families in the area of Ivy <br /> Lane to use Ivy Lane as a public recreation area, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission have <br /> reviewed the petition of the two neighbors abutting Ivy Lane, <br /> which petition has asked that Ivy Lane be closed for public <br /> use, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Park Board and City Staff have reviewed <br /> this matter at length, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council makes the following <br /> findings of fact: <br /> 1. The Ivy Lane access has never been opened as a <br /> public road. <br /> 2. The Ivy Lane access consists of a steep wooded <br /> slope to Long Lake. <br /> 3. In the past, the citizens in the area have failed <br /> to clean up the Ivy Lane access after use, have placed boats <br /> and other structures on the property, and have conducted them- <br /> selves in such a way as to interfere with the enjoyment of the <br /> private property on both sides of the Ivy Lane access. <br /> 4. The City will not open this Ivy Lane access <br /> for public access to the lake. The City Staff shall clean <br /> up the Ivy Lane access and remove all structures and other <br /> unnatural material from the Ivy Lane access. <br /> 5. The City Staff will remove any structures placed on <br /> the access and any boats beached on the access in the future. <br /> 6. The City prohibits the use of Ivy Lane access for <br /> any placement of structures , burning of fires , erection of <br /> docks, placement of trash or other litter, installation or <br /> use of diving docks, swimming raft, or buoys in the lake, and any <br /> use of the access other than incidental use of the access. <br />
