Today I walked the <br /> property and was somewhat surprised at the apparent plans to do <br /> major regrading of the property to accommodate a rear walkout <br /> house. <br /> Because of the magnitude of this grading, before a permit <br /> can be issued, we will need a detailed grading plan indicating <br /> existing and proposed 2' contours for the entire lot. Before you <br /> proceed with having that grading plan drafted, perhaps we should <br /> meet on the property to discuss any alternatives you might have <br /> in preserving at least a few of the mature trees on the site. <br /> Although the City currently has no ordinance prohibiting this <br /> tree cutting, I sense that the magnitude of changes proposed for <br /> this lot might be minimized through additional planning <br /> discussion. <br /> Please contact me at 473-7357 if you have any questions or <br /> to arrange to meet on the property. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> � <br /> Michael P.
