E. Johnson, Clerk, Trustee Bagley recorded the minutes <br /> of the meeting. <br /> On motion of Turnham seconded by Neddermeyer, the reading of the minutes <br /> of the last meeting was dispen$ed with. <br /> After aome discussion, it was suggested that Mayor Ross aak Attorney John <br /> Pi17s bury to contact the General Motora Corporation agenay relative to <br /> deliver� of' the truck which had been purehased from them under aontraot <br /> for delivery in approximately thirty days. It was thought that some <br /> pressure should be brought to bear on that doncern, inasmuch aa coneiderably <br /> more than thirty days time had elapsed since the award o� the contraat. <br /> Mr. George W3ndus appeared before the Counail asking that p� rmission be <br /> �iven him to build a dwelling on a Casco Point lot having 87 feet of <br /> frontage. Hewas advised to acquire some additional land ad�aaent to his <br /> own in order to provide a minimum width consistent with the ordinanee re- <br /> quirements. He a�reed to try to do so. <br /> Mr. Milton Ray110 of Stubbs Say presented to the Council a request that <br /> he be permitted to build a dwelling near an exiating cottage on his <br /> property and at the same time leave the cottage for a temporary residenae <br /> while building and then ultimately for use as a service building only. <br /> He intends and hopea to move the cottage later on. Permission granted. <br /> Mr. Aasting� appeared before the Council to express an lnterest in buying <br /> a lot near the church property �t Navarre to be areated by proposed aub- <br /> division and in a manner described on a sketch of certain land. He �tas <br /> �dvised that inasmuch as the sketch made no provision in 3ta road for a <br /> turn-around, the sub-division would, in all probability, not be approved <br /> by the plannin�; commission or by the Council. He was advised to recoirnnend� <br /> to the owner trlat auch provision be made and cautioned about purchasing <br /> such a lot until this had been accomplished. <br /> Mr. Leonard Olson of Carmen Cove then appeared on recommendatioi� of <br /> As�easor Hanson to explain that he had inadvertently started to build on ! <br /> his lot at a diatance only 52 feet from the property line of neighbot� � <br /> J. G. Mile�. The construetion process was so far advanced as to warrant j . <br /> spec3al consideration of hig problem. J. G. M31es as�ured the Council f�� <br /> that as a neir�;hbor he would have no ob�eetion to this violation of' the �; �; <br /> building ordinance and agreed to write a letter to the Council asking �; <br /> that Mr. Olson be not required to move hia building farther a�ay from <br /> the property line.
