The rights of individu8ls on whom the data is �, stored or to be stored shall be as set forth in this section. �- � --- Subd. 2. Informstion required to be given in�vidusL An.individuel asked to `. • ' supply private or confidentisl data concerning himsetf shall be informed of: (a) the purpose and intended use of the requested date within the collecting state agency, political subdivision, or statewide system; (b) whether he may refuse or is legally required to supply the requested ciate; (c) any known consequence arising from his supptying or refusing to supply private or confidentiel data; end (d) the identity of other persons or entities authorized by stete or federel law to receive the data. This. � requirement shall not apply when an individuel is esked to supply investigative data, pursuant to section 13.62, subdivision 5, to a law enforcement officer. IIpon his . further request, an individuel who is the subject of stored private or gublic date on indivi�uels shall be shovm the date v�tithout any charge to him end, if he desires, shall 6e informed of the content and meaning of that data. After an individval 1�Ss been shown the privete date snd informed of its meaning� the data need not be �sclosed to him for six months thereafter unless e dispute or action pursuant to this section is � � pending or additional date on the individuel hes been collected or created. The . responsible authority shall Qrovide ccpies of the privete or public data upon request hy the individusl subject of the data. The responsible authoritq may require the requesting person to pay the actuel costs of making, certifying, and comp�ing the copies. The responsible authority sha]1 comply immedietely, if possible, with any reQuest made pursuant to this subdivision, or within five days cf the date of the reqvest, excluding SaturdaSs, Sundays and legal holidays, if �immediate compliance is not possible.
