Upon request to a reronsibie auchoriry,an individual shall be informed whether he is che subject of stored data on ir.dividuals,and whecher it is class�ed as public,privac:or confidecrial. Upon his further request,an individual who is the subjecc of scorad private or public dara on individuals shall be shown the dara a•i.:.aut any e'"'�e to him and;if he desires,shall be informed of che coatenc and meaning of chac daca. Aher an individual has been shown ehe priva:��an and ia:ormed of ics meaning,the data need not be disclosed to him for six months thaea[[er unless a dispute or acaon pursuanc to this secdon is cending or addiaonal data on the individual has been collecud or creaced. Ihe responsible auchoriry shall provide copies of the priva�e or public daca c:on requ:s:by[he individual subject oF che data. The responsible auchoriry may requir_che requesting person to pay tha acmal cosu of making,ce._:;ing,and compiling the copies. The responsible auchoriry shall comply immediacaly,if possibL,wich any requesc made punuant to this subdivision,or within five days of the dace of che requesc,ezciuding Saturdays,Sundays and legal holidays,if is.mediace compliance is not possibte. If he cannot comply wi�h the requesc wichin chat time,he shall so inform ehe individual,and may have an addi�er.ai five days wichin which to comply wi�h the request,excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal hotidays. Subd.4. Procedure when data is not accurate or complete. An individual may contest the accuracy or completeness of public or pri�•at: dara conceming himself.
