���p CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> y�, �� No. �b 7 b 0 <br /> G <br /> `�xESHO�� <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING REASONABLE ACCESS TO COUNTY ROAD 112, <br /> Wayzata Boulevard FOR THE ORONO STATION <br /> WHEREAS, Hennepin County is reconstructing County Road 112 from Highway 12 to <br /> County Road 6; and <br /> WHEREAS,The reconstruction will take place over the next four years; and <br /> WHEREAS,As part of the reconstruction, the County is planning to realign access the <br /> Orono Station(2160 Wayzata Blvd; PIN 34-118-23-21-0002)has to County Road 12; and <br /> WHEREAS,The Orono Station has two accesses to County Road 112; and <br /> WHEREAS, One of the access points is between 80' — 100' wide. Hennepin County's <br /> plans propose to reduce this particular access to 36' and the owner of the Orono Station desires <br /> to keep the access at least 55' wide. The owner has expressed concerns that the reduction in <br /> access may make it harder for customers to make the appropriate turning movements from <br /> County Road 112 to access the Orono Station and have a negative impact on the business; and <br /> WHEREAS,The City of Orono fully supports our business community and wishes to <br /> see all of our businesses thrive; and <br /> WHEREAS,The City of Orono recognizes the importance of this critical corridor and <br /> shares the goal of creating an efficient and safe environment for all road and trail users for <br /> County Road 112 project; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does hereby <br /> encourage Hennepin County to review their plan for possible changes to the access for Orono <br /> Station. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held <br /> May 8, 2017. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Li'�v . <br /> Anna Carlson, �ity Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />
