Your
decision to cont;nue s-lpplying water to the area west of your
city until July, 1982 , will allow us to jointly complete a
feasibilit of apgrading the present syste:.i to a more aviceptable
suply of pressure for all of us in the future .
T met with rs. Todd Heglund, Mr. Tom Anderson, 1'Zayor of Medina,
and rir . Srad van Nest, Mayor of Orono, to solidify our objectives
and formulate a plan which will allow us all to work together
to eet future deadlines to accommodate all of our future water
needs .
i•ir . Heglund reviet•red with us th City of Long Lake 's desire to
construc a water tower near Highway 12 near the Robb Motel
. property to adequately furnish water pressure to the areas of
Long Lake nd Orono, which are contiguous to each other , that are
now served by your city. The new system would be in total , Long
Lake ' s system comnitted to jointly serve our a:eas as nee3ed
on a gallonage basis that would be rated the same for all of our
com-nunities. The increased revenues generated by your city for
the service would be used to retire the bnds sold for the project.
tfs . Tom Anderson, Brad Van Nest, and myself concurred with
:Ir . Heglund and aqreed to cntinue our efforts proceeding to
finalize an agreement with our city, as soon as possible . We
all feel we have a muual interest in serving our residents at
a cost that is fair and equitable to us all and we will work
toward that end to achieve it.
bl II il\i.,1, /\1\. '1 'i' • \III\1\I M 111♦ S I I\ \1 1 1" ' - • I1 bl II IH► i ' '
\ll ♦I\
