Councilmember Butler : It appears that a staff on-siLe inspection reveals illegal uses of a dock and slips on the north side of the marina . The bottomline is that you are only allowed so many boats and slips. Mr . Desentis : We have removed that dock since the last ir.spection . Mayor Van Nest : There is an overuse of the property. You have to meet setback requirements and boats and ' slips are not allowed in this setback area. It also appears that you are continuing to store boat trailers on residential property at the east end of Railroad Avenue . This property is not zoned for commercial uses and the City will not allow it to be used for commercial purposes. Councilmember Hurr : Does this property belong to Sailor ' s World? Mr . Desentis : No, it belongs to Paul Fahlin. Mayor Van Nest : I want the record to show that fishing or contests of any kind are not allowed and is not a permitted use of the area. Also, in reviewing Mr . Olson ' s report, it is evident that Sailors World is storing more boats and allowing more slips to be used than what was originally applied for and what has been approved by the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District . The City is concerned with constant over use of the - property and will not allow uses of the area not originally allowed. Your application is for 130 boats. Mayor Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to aciopt RESOLUTION �1200 Resolution #1200 , A Resolution Directing Staff Sailor ' s World To Issue A Commercial Dock License To Sailor ' s World At Paul ' s Landing Subject To Conditions Noted Herein For The Period Of January l, 1980 To December 31, 1980 , subject to adherence to original plan and exhibit A, and to meet all parking requirements.
