The estimated cost of this water sys- <br /> tem is $189,750 which would result in a water rate of $1.68/1000 gallons plus <br /> normal operation and maintenance costs. <br /> ' The City of Orono could also develdp a plan to abandon the public water supply <br /> in the area and allow the users a reasonable time period to establish private <br /> systems. <br /> The development of a joint powers agreement between the cities of Long Lake <br /> and Orono and joint improvements to the water system appears to be the most <br /> feasible method of solving the water supply problem. <br /> The method of financing the improvement has not as yet been developed by the <br /> City of Long Lake.
