The access had also <br /> been used to launch boats. <br /> Orville Dressel , 2740 Fox Street, wants to be able <br /> to drive in and launch his boat there . <br /> Ted Meyer, 85 Old Crystal Bay Road, stated that he <br /> would like the road kept open and that the barricade <br /> should be removed. <br /> J. F. Dudziak, 3091 Farview Lane, stated that the <br /> access should not be made public . <br /> Harold Hendrickson, attorn�y for five Farview property <br /> owners, stated that the road was not on the plat when <br /> the City Council approved the plat, that the road <br /> is not in the title opinions of his clients, and that if <br /> there is a road, it was not sufficiently maintained. <br /> He also stated that the Gibbs torrence title does not <br /> show a road easement. Mr. Hendrickson also stated that <br /> the Farview property owners were prepared to defend <br /> their rights in court if necessary and will not back off . <br /> Edward Heilman, attorney for Mr . Gibbs, stated that he <br /> would like to bring the dispute to a head, that he had <br /> written a letter to Bruce Malkerson, Orono Attorney, in <br /> November of 1978 and still has not received a reply . <br /> Mayor Van Nest commented that he would like to see <br /> everyone involved have a negotiating meeting to discuss <br /> the issue and to resolve the problem as soon as possible . <br /> He stated that that is the only access to the lake on <br /> Maxwell Bay and that it will remain open until the matter <br /> is resolved. <br /> After all persons present were afforded an opportunity to <br /> be heard, the public hearing was closed at 7 : 55 P.M. <br /> Ma�or Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to table the <br /> matter of the Gibbs/Velie/Farview lake access until a <br /> negotiating meeting has been conducted for all persons <br /> involved and that the public can continue to use the <br /> lake access . Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br />
