, , ,
. Aw OFFCES Page 13
LEFEVERE. LEFLER, PEARSON. O BRIEN & DRAWZ
Page 3
Mr. Bruce Malkerson
June 20 , 1980
discussions between the architect and the staff in an effort to show
good faith on the Seifert ' s part. They would like to maintain as much
of the turn-around near the home as possible, and I think that this
can be worked out between the city staff and Dr. Seifert' s architect
in such a manner that the basic purposes and goals oiscussed in Mr.
Olson' s recommendation no. 4 can be met. "
Bruce, I am not sure how we proceed with this. I think if Ir.
Olson had stayed here we could have essentially arrived at an agreement ,
because I found that in my discussions with him we were making pro gress.
Unfortunately, he is now gone and my client is in a bind in that his
rr.ortgage corrmitment is about to run out. [ae need action and agreement
on or before June 30 to rake this work. I again stress to you and to
the other city officials th at the Seiferts are willing to approve this
proposal in an effort to find. a reasonable solution, but if it cannot
be done, they will have to look elsewhere for their main housing, an d
- 'everyone involved with this request will be a loser. It will be very
much appreciated if you can discuss this with I4r. Benson and/or other
City officials to see if a written stipulation can be entered into or
at least prepared prior to the June 3D meetina so that if the Council
approves Mr. Olson' s recomrr.endations , the Seiferts will be ready to move
imm.ediately on their building. It is imperative that they try to do
this as quickly as possible to try to utilize the summer constructi on
season. They are already three months behind, since they had expected
approval in early April.
If you have any questions or coirirents concerning this letter,
please contact me , and in any event I will hope to hear from you sometime
ne xt week.
Very truly yours ,
. ? / ,
Curtis A. Pearson
CAP: lh
cc: Mr. Dick Benson
Dr. Milton Seifert
