Benson: <br /> Thank you very much for your recent letter calling my <br /> attention to the closing of the Crystal Bay Post Office <br /> later this year . <br /> I certainly agree that it would be in the best interest <br /> of the City of Orono to consolidate the five post offices <br /> that presently serve it, and I want to assure you that I will <br /> do everything within my power to persuade the Postal Service <br /> to take this action. In this reaard, I have contacted the <br /> appropriate Postal officials expressing my interest on behalf <br /> of Orono residents and urging that one post office and one <br /> zip code be established for your City . <br /> I realize, of course, that the benefits derived from a <br /> merger of this nature would be invaluable to the City of Orono, <br /> and I will stay on top of this situation until a final decision <br /> is reached.
