The author states that <br /> because of "the city' s errors in the legal description, and <br /> ' hassles that caused with the various contract holders in the <br /> chain, the price would have to be increased $500 to cover the <br /> additional cost to the Sweezos. " <br /> You may recall that the original understanding with Sweezo <br /> was that the city would pay $7500 and now they want $8000 . <br /> For your information, the City Engineer was instructed by me <br /> to survey, develop and give to Wangensteen the legal descrip- <br /> tion for inclusion into the warranty deeds and two quitclaim <br /> deeds Sweezo needed to have signed by others ,in order to allow <br /> him 'to give good title to the city. Sweezo did not understand- <br /> ably want to sign the purchase agreement until after he knew he <br /> could obtain the approval of the three other property owners in <br /> the chain of title. <br /> The engineer made a mistake in the legal description by includ- <br /> ing too much property in the legal description he gave to <br /> Wangensteen. Wangensteen had already sent out the deeds when <br /> the mistake was discovered by one of the contract for deed <br /> holders. The three property owners and Sweezo were very upset <br />
