Absent : <br /> Councilmer�ers Hurr and Paurus and City Admir_istrator <br /> Benson . <br /> R�sidents of the afi�cted properties present : <br /> Mr . & Mrs . Lawrence t,;halen - 2435 Scotch Pine Lane <br /> Duane Luke - 2465 Ivorth Shore Drive <br /> Edward Callahan, ,7r . - 2545 North Shore Drive <br /> Mr . & Mrs . Steven 4Vilson - 2485 North Shore Drive <br /> Mr. & Mrs . Joseph Jester - 2515 North Shore Drive <br /> Andy Miner - representing Charles Pihl <br /> Michael Gaffron, On-Site Systems Manager, presented , <br /> the Notice of Public Hearing and the Affidavit of • <br /> Publication . <br /> Discussion included the route of the sewer line, lift <br /> stations , and assessments. <br /> Mayor Van Nest explained the procedures the City <br /> Council would take before the project is constructed. <br /> He also stated that an assessment hearing would be conducted <br /> prior to awarding the bid for construction to determine <br /> if the project would take place. <br /> Mrs . S . Wilso�, 2485 North Shore Drive, expressed concern <br /> aboutthe placement of the sewer line due to her trees <br /> and other plantings. She was assured that the engineer <br /> would work with her to preserve as many as possible of <br /> the trees and plantings . <br /> Mrs . Jester, 2515 North Shore Drive, questioned the method of <br /> assessing the project. Her main concern was for unforeseen <br /> extra costs . <br /> Mayor Van Nest explained that they were built into the <br /> contractor ' s bid because of undetermined extras at the <br /> time of construction. <br /> Mr . Callahan, 2545 North Shore Drive, did not feel that <br /> sewer was necessary as his system is adequate and problem <br /> free . <br />
